Data collection launched

On July 15, DITAC's farm-level data collection was launched. The large-scale data survey are conducted in five agricultural production provinces in Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, and Hunan, covering the three major agricultural production zones. In unprecedented efforts to implement a nationally representative data collection despite strict travel restriction due to the ongoing pandemic, DITAC team is joining the forces of three prominent Chinese universities, namely, Chinese Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, and Sichuan Agricultural University, conducting regional data collections. Overall, more than 2000 farm managers from about 180 villages will be interviewed about the their farming practices and use of digital information technologies (DIT). The data is intended for inquires into the Status quo of digitalization of agriculture in China and subsequent adoption and impact analyses of DIT.
